The Mainshaft Comp, also known as the Main Shaft or Transmission Main Shaft, is a key rotating component inside the motorcycle’s gearbox. It carries the drive gears that transmit engine power to the output sprocket and ultimately to the rear wheel.
Supports and rotates the main transmission gears.
Transfers torque from the countershaft input to the final drive (chain or belt).
Engages gears through shift forks and dog clutches to change speed and power ratio.
Works in coordination with the countershaft to produce all available gear ratios
